When it comes to ragging some like it and some doesnt ....I think I was one of those guys who liked getting ragged....yet I was blessed to have got seniors who didnt compull me beyond the limits to do things which may have hurt my mind ....whenever I was asked to do such a thing I would plainly reject and ask for some alternative ...I always had seniors who didnt force me so much in doing such things (dont forget I had been in 3 buses till now mainly coz of a staff in bus no 22 who insisted us to change bus ) and to my pleasure seniors liked me at the end of the day and in both bus no. 21 and 22 I now have some good senior friends
In the first week I actually couldnt come to college from wednesday till friday as there was a function in temple in my native place for which I go every year to meet all my cousines.I came back on monday and now for a change teachers started visiting classes unlike first day.... For the first few weeks we would mostly use laptops in class (sometimes even when teachers do their teaching) and do browsing, chatting ,downloads.etc. ..... srivatsan, vignesh and sriram to some extent would mostly be talking about computers and would be sharing highly technical and latest news or knowledge in that field with each other ....For me the things they talked were like greek and latin ... avanga potta sceneku alawe illa pa.....to be very frank things which they were talking about like 80gb portable hard disks , psps were completely alien to me initially and I sometimes felt little bad for not being able to take part in their conversations and so I dint like them initially.....but then came the turn around ...they slowly started interacting well and I think it all started with them teasing me for being vijay fan and with my orkut profile .. I dint mind getting teased ..I always believed getting teased would only bring friends closer.....classroom soon became a place to enjoy for me....vignesh and few others soon became good friends of mine and then we started teasing vignesh for putting overscene in initial days ... and from then on we would shout his name whenever teachers have some doubt in operating class projectors...and he soon became a target for our kalays which is actually an endless topic.....
Next day we were all made to assemble in our respective classes in humanities department... and by the time I went there, everyone had already come ...i went and sat in only empty place which was in last bench of rightmost set of desks ...anyway i was happy as I always prefer to sit in last bench and I was lucky to get a place der inspite of being late....It was the first day for us in class and in typical ssn style none of the teachers came to class for the whole day and so we were all talking with each other getting to know each other ....shaw, srirams, sri vatsan and vignesh were near my bench I talked with them for some time and then at around lunch period i talked with g.v.vignesh and he brought me to his room in hostel ....I can still remember the words I spoke with him that day " warden lam nan waradha patha onnum solla mattangala da" ( ippa nenacha sema comedy) and then he brought me to his room ....It was my first visit to the room which has given many memorable moments .....By the end of the day I was wondering how lenient the best college in chennai is......we were allowed to roam freely outside classes and goto hostel whenever we feel like without any restrictions...i got an idea of our college on the very first day...
It was a after a very long holidays after 12th exam ,infact longest holiday that we have ever had and holidays had completely bored each one of us and so we were all eagerly waiting for this day to put an end to all our boredom ....For me the promotion from being a school student to a college student was a big thing and I was waiting like anything for this day and it finally happened .. and I was eagerly waiting to make new friends and came to college by college bus and assembled in the auditorium and correspondent gave us a very big bulid up for newly introduced e-learning concept of our college (lols which later turned out to be one of the biggest flops ever given by SSN ) .I spent the first day with cse keerthi and his dav class mates as i didnt know anyone except him in the college(remember all my school mates who joined ssn were not ma close friends i just knew them they belonged to my school..thats it ..)and it so happened i never ever talked again in the rest of ma college life with the many of boys with whom i spent my first day in college ..
